Michael Hardesty

Michael Hardesty

Born in Anchorage Alaska both of Michael's parents were bush pilots and flight instructors. Most of his early childhood was spent in small single engine planes affixed with skis for landing on the snow, or floats for landing on the small lakes by the native villages. He recalls his childhood filled with endless adventures, cultural awareness, and a love of nature that he posses to this day. At the age of ten his family moved to the inner city of Detroit Michigan, where after a brief moment of culture shock Michael quickly fit in, making new friends and staying in Detroit until graduation from High School. Embarking on a life long love of travel Michael attended six colleges in three different states before graduation from the University of Northern Colorado with a B.A. in History and a Secondary Teaching Certificate. After a brief career as a High School History teacher, Michael accepted a position with the United States Government and became a lead instructor for a training academy within his department. This is where his love of acting fully bloomed as he incorporated role playing as well as interactive improvisational methods into his teaching style. Most of his body of work has been in live theater and he has performed in over 100 live performances including Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie, Neil Simon, and even experimental theater. Breaking into movies with the 2004 hit Red Rocks, he has since been seen in the independent movie Clean Slate, as well as several commercials.
