Mitchell Altieri
Mitchell Altieri is a Brazilian American, award-winner writer/director who has showcased his films at premier festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, Sitges, Fantasia & Fantastic. His first feature, the comedy Lurking In Suburbia, was discovered by senior Sundance programmer Trevor Groth. As part of the horror duo, The Butcher Brothers, he wrote and directed The Hamiltons (Lionsgate), April Fools Day (Sony), The Violent Kind (Sundance), The Thompsons (sequel to The Hamiltons, Lionsgate) and Raised By Wolves (1091). Taking a break from horror, Mitchell directed the psychological thriller Holy Ghost People with its world premiere at SXSW in 2013. For his next two films, Mitchell curved into horror-comedy by helming A Beginner's Guide to Snuff (Lionsgate) and The Night Watchmen (winner of 25 awards, Gravitas). Shortly following, he directed Star Light (1091), an homage to 90s teenage horror, released in 2020. Most recently, Mitchell directed the feature Consumed set to be release in fall of 2022.
