David Amito
Known for his off-beat performances in dark comedies, David Amito is a five time award winning actor. His most recent win was Best Supporting Actor at the 2013 Las Vegas Film Festival for a leading role in A.J. Bond's feature film Stress Position.
Nominated in 2014 for a "Best Actor" Leo award, British Columbia's premier acting award, Amito has starred in a number of high profile film and television projects including David Cronenberg's feature Maps to the Stars where he performs alongside Mia Wasikowska and Robert Pattinson.
He has also appeared on Nikita (CW), Warehouse 13 (Universal), The LA Complex (CW), Urban Legends (A&E) and Breakout (National Geographic) where he portrayed George Rivas, the notorious ring-leader of the Texas Seven.
He has starred as the title character in Michael Laicini's online horror series Mr.Tom, which has garnered a following of over 20,000 fans and has been favorably reviewed by a number of online horror publications including DreadCentral.
Theatre credits include his original play Love & Lamb which premiered at the Repertory Theatre in New York City and Every Woman I Slept With Before I Met You, the one man show co-created and performed by Amito which received the Patrons' Pick award at the Toronto Fringe Festival.
Amito trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City, Methodica Acting School and Second City.
