Andy Wagner
Andy Wagner originally hails from Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island. While growing up in a wonderfully loud family of six, he found a love of performing while imitating Jerry Seinfeld's act for his the family over the kitchen table. He studied theater at Yale University and abroad at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts before moving to Los Angeles in 2010. After moving to Los Angeles, he has performed alongside Jeff Daniels and Marcia Gay Harden in The Newsroom, Nathan Fillion on Castle, and recurred on All My Children, including the long running soap's final episode. He has also produced his own work, including his Ultra Low Budget feature, We Had This Band in 2013 and a staged production of "Brilliant Traces," which won several awards including a Critic's Pick from the LA Times and Backstage West, as well as an Outstanding Duo Performance from StageSceneLA.
Recently, Andy has studied storytelling with Moth GrandSlam winner Cole Kazdin and former member of MTV's "The State" Kevin Allison. He regularly tells his original stories at The Moth Story Slam, Tattle Tales and other venues in Los Angeles and New York City.
He can also be seen performing sketch and improv comedy at the iO West Theater and the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater in Los Angeles. Currently, he is a performer/writer at the iO West with IT'S THE COPS!, performing every second Sunday of the month at the Mainstage Theater at the iO in Hollywood.
When he is not performing or producing, Andy is training for yet another race and recently completed the 70.3 Half Ironman Competition in St. George, UT. He has seen Dave Matthews Band 49 times in concert and swears the show is still great every time. He bleeds NY Football Giants blue every Sunday and can still be found browsing the new releases at the comic shop for the latest Batman story arc.
