Julian Brand

Julian Brand is an American actor, writer and aspiring producer. He is originally from San Francisco, California, but resides in Los Angeles. Julian began his acting career in middle school, where he was involved in school plays. One of his first on-stage performances would be as Tommy in The Music Man. Julian soon found himself auditioning for bigger roles, including an audition for a role in Harry Potter (2001) at age 11. He kick started his career in movies with a role in an independent horror film at the age of 15. Eventually, he would be recruited to act with the powerhouse off-Broadway Atlantic Theater Company. He has studied under the acclaimed and influential Acting Coach and Director Larry Moss, and has worked directly with Actor and Director Alex Karpovsky. He cites American film Directors Paul Thomas Anderson and the Coen brothers as artistic influences, and greatly admires American film icon Jack Nicholson for his extensive and acclaimed career in the industry. Julian pursued undergraduate studies while continuing to act in various film roles. While a student, he gained over 50 Indie film credits, appearing in both feature-length films as well as short films. In 2011, Julian appeared as Ron in the film Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same. He followed up this performance with a string of short film roles between 2011 and 2013. In 2013, Julian was back on the big screen, playing Roy in Bonnie & Clyde: Justified. He also made an appearance in award-winning Dark Comedy-Drama The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) as an uncredited Stratton Broker. His next features would be in bigger roles, as Brad in Pink Zone (2014) and Mario in Dope (2015). Julian continued his involvement in smaller projects such as short films and TV Series, portraying Jorge in R.I.P. (2015) and Shawn in Walking the Dead (2015). He was cast as Nicky Ramone in Death in the Desert (2015) and Jake in The Aspen Project (2016) before taking a short hiatus in 2017 to continue training and practicing for bigger roles. More recently, Brand was cast as Bud in Happy Journey (2018) and Corwin Garber's Blue Heart (2019). In addition to acting, Julian enjoys juggling in his free time and traveling. His travels have allowed him to pick up on the Spanish language and build more connections, leading to his capability of understanding different characters and shaping his portrayal around any particular character's story. A movie star in the making who's already acted with other celebrities in Hollywood, Julian is ready to take on any new challenges on camera and bring the best entertainment to anyone watching.
