Tom York
LAMDA trained Tom York, is best known for his role of Sam Carne, (brother to Demelza Poldark - Eleanor Tomlinson), the charismatic Methodist preacher who remains keen to save the souls of everyone he meets, in the award-winning BBC One period drama 'Poldark'.
For television, Tom was most recently seen in the ITV remake of 'Van Der Valk', which brought back one of television's most iconic detectives. 'Midsomer Murders' writer Chris Murray wrote the three-part series of feature-length episodes in this show that follows a street smart and unapologetic Dutch detective (played by Marc Warren) as he navigates the lively and enigmatic city of Amsterdam, solving mysterious crimes using astute human observation and inspired detection.
Further credits for television include his lead role of 'Hero' in SyFy's fantasy drama, 'Olympus' alongside Sonya Cassidy, 'Endeavour', FX series 'Tyrant', 'Midsomer Murders', 'Death in Paradise' and comedy-drama 'Agatha Rasin'.
