Dean Stone
Dean Elliot Stone was born on March 13, 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a professional Boxing, MMA and Muay Thai announcer and official voice of the King of the Cage MMA series on MAVTV. He has also announced on networks such as HBO, Showtime, ESPN and ESPN2.
Stone attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained a Bachelors of Arts Degree with a major in Communication from the Ivy League institution's Annenberg School for Communication.
On May 24, 1998, Stone began his professional fight announcing career by working an all-female professional boxing card highlighted by the WIBF Lightweight Championship between Kathy Collins and Marischa Sjauw. The event was held at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
For over 15 years, Stone has called a variety historic fights, including a Pay-Per-View featuring Laila Ali vs Jacqui Frazier-Lyde on June 8, 2001 from the Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, New York. In MMA, he has introduced legendary fighters in the cage such as Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Rhonda Rousey, Tank Abbott, Joe "Daddy" Stevenson, Frank Shamrock, Urijah "The California Kid" Faber, and Dan "The Beast" Severn.
In August 2014, Stone made his Hollywood debut by becoming the main announcer on the hit MMA drama series "Kingdom" on DirecTV's Audience network. Since that time, he has become a SAG-AFTRA member, with hopes of appearing on other fight-related TV shows and movies in the future.
