Thijs Meuwese
Thijs Meuwese was born in The Netherlands in 1987. It wasn't long before he aspired making films of his own, winning best short film at a Belgian film festival in 2007 and graduating film school in 2011. His student film was a feature length fantasy thriller that played the local festivals. The following years he wrote and directed several commercials, short films and web-series, and worked as a production designer feature films, before finally writing and co-directing his English language debut feature film "Molly" in 2016. Molly was nominated for Best Film at the Imagine film festival and received decidedly positive reviews when it was released on DVD & Blu-ray in the US. His next feature, "Kill Mode", written and directed by him, won best pitch at the Imagine pitching contest and was released in 2020. He then joined The Dutch Angle Project, a production collective creating indie genre films, where he directed his fourth film "Psychonaut", set to release in 2023.
