Howard "Ray" Carter Jr. is a burgeoning actor who only recently started acting in BG (Background) roles in 2021 with no experience!! Being a quick-study he got the opportunity to learn up-close from two of the "GREATS" his very first time on set of The Harder They Fall (now out on Netflix). He say's Delroy Lindo & Jonathan Major's played an important role in how he now develops his characters. I can be seen (very briefly) at the 2:16 mark. I can also be seen in Big Sky as an EMT in Season 2 Ep. 3 at the 37:35 mark. One of his proudest moments (still to this day), was being a Stand-In for the "AMAZING" Laurence Fishburne on the set of MacGruber! He hails Laurence as easily one of the kindest yet POWERFUL actors in Hollywood. He actually has a first-hand account story about Laurence that is a testament to (Fishburne's) character and strength-that he may or may not share one day. After only "1" audition. Yes! 1 Audition!! He quickly won the hearts of the Producers & Director in a series on Amazon Prime titled "The Graceful Path" and he immediately earned a recurring speaking role as the Pastor. The 3rd Season of The Graceful Path is scheduled for release in Dec 2023! He is starring in Episodes: 1, 4 & 6. (Streaming Platforms-TBD) He also played the role of the Leader of the Goomba Cartel in Coyote Cage (non-speaking), a film produced by Jerry Angelo & Aubrey Trujillo of Rokit Pig Entertainment in New Mexico, also scheduled for release sometime in 2023. He serves as the primary liaison between the victim, service providers and all intervening agencies ensuring victim support through the initial & ongoing investigation, including throughout the court proceedings. Additionally, given his uncanny ability to captivate audiences with his effervescent training- style he was hand-selected by senior leadership to serve as the Sexual Assault Point of Contact Manager-directly responsible for ensuring over 1500 personnel were 100% trained and understood the meaning, definition, and difference between sexual harassment, sexual assault, consent and the Continuum of Harm model. It's also worth noting that he is also a certified Credentialed Advocate "CA" through the Nationally recognized National Advocate Credentialing Program (i.e. Domestic Violence & Child Abuse Advocacy)-an organization whose mission is staunch victim advocacy, education and has a stringent personal code of ethics for only the most seasoned professionals. A testament to Howard's non-stop work ethic includes, completing his Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in Workforce Education in 2010 while on an arduous 9-month deployment. Never content with the status quo, he went on to finish his Graduate degree in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, including earning a Certificate in Workforce Motivation, ALL while serving as the full-time Pastor(s) along-side his beautiful bride of Sure Foundation Ministries (Naples, Italy), and serving his country overseas, while full-time active duty in the Navy! As a Certified Living Works Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer (A.S.I.S.T.), he is both adept, skillful, and empathetic in understanding the ways that personal and societal attitudes affect the views on suicide interventions. He has provided guidance and suicide first-aid to over a 10,000 personnel at risk in ways that meet their individual safety needs. His passion for suicide mitigation was never more evident, when he saw there was no Suicide Prevention Program in place while serving in the Middle East (one of the highest suicide rates on any Naval base across the U.S. & overseas). He drafted, wrote, developed and implemented the policies, regulations, & the crisis action plans required to stand-up an inspection ready, Navy Suicide Prevention Program, for two major Combatant Component Commands in the Middle East that are still in effect to this day! Howard has earned two different country-wide, recognized Relationship Analysis Certifications. He is a Certified P.A.I.R.S. Facilitator (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills) & a Certified P.R.E.P. Facilitator (Prevention & Relationship Education Program (P.R.E.P.). Over the past decade, he has selflessly committed over 25,000 pro bono hours mentoring & equipping singles for marriage & over 50,000 pro bono hours educating married couples how to effectively communicate, fight fair and strengthen the bonds of trust within their marriage & families.
